Volunteers are Needed for Mobile Meals of the South Strand
Mobile Meals is going into it’s 50th year! What an accomplishment for a strictly volunteer program. No paid positions!
We are looking for all people willing to work toward continuing a program of “feeding the elderly” or those who can’t presently provide a nutritional meal because of illness or accident.
You can volunteer however much you want in several different ways:
DRIVERS/RUNNERS/PACKERS—a weekly need.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE—meet as needed, bring ideas so we can raise the much needed funds to continue this program (insurance, gas, van maintenance). Most of the monies goes to the cost of the meals from Senior Catering.
We are a faith driven organization who seeks to do “God’s intent is for hungry people to be fed, and He calls His people to participate in providing the food.” Matthew 14:16
